3511 SATA - Sun StorageTek Storage Arrays
The Sun StorageTek 3511 array is ideal for such secondary and near-line storage computing environments such as data repositories that typically require high capacity but without the utilization and access characteristics normally associated with primary storage applications.
Unlike most SATA arrays, a single Sun StorageTek 3511 SATA Array can be expanded to over 28TB of storage capacity, up to 12 servers can be connected to it without using a switch, hundreds of LUNS can be parsed for increased security, and the entire array can be configured for complete fault tolerant redundancy with the ability to hot load firmware code without disruption of service.
