CCNY Supports Display of Lights

Monday, November 14th, 2011

Every year for the holiday season, we at CCNY look for ways we can contribute to our local community.  This year we’ve decided to donate towards our local Masonic Home’s “Wonderland of Lights “; held annually in Utica, NY.

All of the funds raise during this event goto the Resource Center for Independent Living, a civil rights organization offering independent living services for people with disabilities.

CCNY Supports UC Hockey!

Monday, October 24th, 2011

Supporting our community is one of the pillars that CCNY has been formed on. That’s why in years past we have given donations to organizations such as the Utica Zoo, Utica Brew-Fest, Wine in the Wilderness, and most recently the Utica Pioneers Hockey team.

On Friday, 21 October CCNY made a company wide trip to watch the Utica College Pioneers take on the Royal Military College of Canada at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The nationally ranked number 13 UC Pioneers did not disappoint as they scored a huge 7-1 victory over their competitors, making for an exciting night out!

CCNY Participates in the Ride for Missing Children

Friday, June 17th, 2011

CCNY’s Chief Operations Officer Tricia Shauger is an active participant in the Ride for Missing Children.  This was Tricia’s second year as a cyclist on the 100 mile course.   We are proud of her commitment to this organization and wish her continued support on her future rides.

In 1993, an adorable little girl was abducted.  Living in a small town, I was in disbelief over this outrageous crime.   In 1995, a group of 7 men rode their bicycles from Utica, New York to Washington, D.C. in order to raise awareness about the plight of missing children and to bring a message of safety to the people they met along the way.  Through these Rides, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is able to bring safety education to thousands of school children across New York State as well as their families and communities.  The funds which are raised help to support missing child poster distribution, educational programs, case management, and the mission of the NCMEC-NY Branch Office located in Rochester, NY.

For more information on our cause and our history can be found at TheRideForMissingChildren.com.
